Maria Menounos

Maria was helping her mother suffering from Stage 4 cancer of the brain. It was discovered that she had an extremely serious health condition. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. In an exclusive story of PEOPLE, Menounos reveals that she was suffering from headaches and lightheadedness while on set. My speech was getting difficult to understand, and I also had difficulty understanding the teleprompter. An MRI showed Menounos to have a huge-sized meningioma brain tumor that has grown to the size as a golf ball. The tumour was pressing the facial nerves. Menounos booked an appointment to see her mother's doctor renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Keith L. Black who scheduled the surgery on June 8, her 39th birthday. Dr. Black said it was 98 percent harmless. But, we won't have the ability to determine until they get there. Dr. Black managed to eliminate 99.9 percent of benign tumors through a operation that took seven hours. "He stated that there's a six to seven percent likelihood that we'll have it come back," she says. They're my best choice. Menounos, who was admitted to hospital for 6 days, is now at home, and spending recovering. Maria Maria Maria
